Design is one of the most underused growth levers in early-stage and scaling companies. People often assume design’s role is to execute, that we only become valuable when it's time to throw down the pixels, after the strategy is set, the research is done, and the answers are clear.

I think of design as setting the stage for users to find their own clarity. The aha moment doesn’t come from a gimmick, it comes from designing systems that respect how people think, feel, and move through the world.
In a tight market where every dollar matters, working with a product designer helps you de-risk key decisions: it shortens the time between idea and insight, reduces costly churn by removing user friction, and increases conversion by guiding people toward action.
Every project is a little different, but they usually kick off by sharing (or working together) on details like goals, needs, wants, risk, timelines, and what you think success would look like.
Partnership can be as collaborative or hands-off as you need. We’ll align on short and long-term wins, then prioritize based on user needs and market signals. I offer exploratory research, usability testing & user interviews, flow maps, user journeys, service blueprints, market research, competitive analysis, and more.
After we align on the direction, I design the UI, share mockups for review and revision, and support QA as we move into implementation. This covers detailed handoffs with all assets, edits/revisions as needed, QA with developers and optional follow up testing.
